The idea behind the Bucket relates to two kinds of common bathing methods.
In third world countries scarce water resources and lack of infrastructure necessitate alternative bathing in the form of “the bucket”. Whereas in Japan a similar way of bathing serves a different hygienic purpose, that of the soul. The Bucket is made of ceramic and is used for alternative bathing, combining water conservation and a holistic approach.
The stool is made of wood built using cold fitting.
Bathing is done in a relaxed sitting fashion.
When not in use the bath stool fits inside the ceramic bucket for easy storage and space saving.
